How much does a typical install cost?
Our three Mountain Property Packages are $4,050 (Ranch), $5,250 (Chalet), and $7,950 (Lodge) — all installed, all warrantied, no recurring fees. Custom builds (extra cameras, multiple buildings, working-ranch or estate-scale coverage) are quoted after a free site visit.
Is Starlink actually reliable in Eagle County winters?
Yes — with the right install. Starlink dishes have a built-in heater that handles snow accumulation. What fails first is improper mounting and ungrounded cable runs. We do pole, ridgeline, and chimney mounts engineered for mountain weather, with weather-sealed cable runs and surge protection.
Can you fix my existing WiFi instead of replacing the whole thing?
Sometimes. We start with a free site visit and identify whether you have a coverage problem (you need more access points), a configuration problem (existing gear is fine, it's set up wrong), or an aging-equipment problem (router from 2014 trying to run a smart home). If your existing setup can be salvaged or upgraded incrementally, we'll tell you.
Do your security cameras have monthly fees?
No. We install Ubiquiti UniFi Protect with local-only recording — your footage stays on your property, on a small recording appliance, and never touches a third-party cloud. You can still view your cameras remotely via the free UniFi app from anywhere in the world.
Do I need to be home for the install?
Not for most jobs. Many of our second-home and property-manager installs happen with the owner elsewhere. We coordinate with your property manager or caretaker, document every step with photos, and send a written close-out report including the gear list, configuration details, and a one-page operating guide.
Why Ubiquiti UniFi specifically? Why not whatever's on sale?
We specialize in one networking ecosystem so we can guarantee quality and provide consistent support across all our installs. UniFi handles mountain conditions well, has no monthly subscriptions, scales from small homes to multi-building estates, and gives us a single management interface for ongoing support. Mixing brands creates support nightmares we'd rather avoid.
Do you do new construction?
Yes. The best time to plan for networking and cameras is during framing, before drywall goes up. We do pre-wire consultations for new builds in Eagle Ranch, Stratton Flats, Buckhorn Valley, and elsewhere — usually adding ~$400 to the build cost and saving you several times that down the road.
How fast can you respond to an issue?
Same day for most calls during business hours. Most problems get resolved remotely before we'd need to drive out. If we do need to come out, we're a local crew — usually next business day, sometimes same day.
