Common Questions

FAQ

The questions we get most often about Starlink, WiFi, and security camera installation in Eagle County. If yours isn’t here, email us — we’ll add it.

01How long does it take to get a quote?

Usually one business day from your form submission. We confirm receipt right away, then send back a written line-item quote within 24 hours of the next business day. If we need a site visit before quoting, we'll schedule that within the same window.

02Do I need to be home for the install?

No. A lot of our installs are for owners who live out of state. We coordinate directly with your caretaker, property manager, or general contractor for access. We document everything with photos and a printed network reference sheet left at the property.

03What WiFi brand do you install?

Ubiquiti UniFi, exclusively. UniFi is enterprise-grade gear that handles the heat-mapping, VLAN segmentation, PoE flexibility, and remote management we need for mountain properties. We don't install consumer mesh brands because the support quality doesn't hold up over time.

04How much does a typical install cost?

Our Mountain Property Packages run $4,050 (Ranch), $5,250 (Chalet — most popular), and $7,950 (Lodge), installed. Each tier includes Starlink mount and cable, a Ubiquiti UniFi mesh sized to the property, four outdoor cameras, and surveillance-grade NVR storage (4TB / 8TB / 16TB). Smaller scopes — just a Starlink dish, or just a WiFi tune-up — start in the low four figures. Larger estates and ranches are scoped individually. We send a written line-item quote so you see what's driving the number.

05Do you charge a monthly subscription fee?

No. Once installed, your equipment is yours. We use local NVR storage for cameras so there's no recurring cloud bill. Optional support plans are available month-to-month if you want priority response, but they're never required.

06What areas of Eagle County do you cover?

All of Eagle County. Vail, Avon, Edwards, Eagle, Gypsum, Beaver Creek, Cordillera, Minturn, Red Cliff, and the unincorporated areas around Wolcott, McCoy, Bond, Burns, and Sweetwater. If your address is in Eagle County and you have power, we can probably reach you.

07How soon can you schedule an install?

Usually within the same week, sometimes within a few days. Larger or multi-day jobs (estate networks, new construction prewires) get scheduled a couple weeks out. We don't book months in advance — we're a local crew, not a chain franchise routing through a call center.

08Will Starlink work at my property if I'm surrounded by trees?

Often yes, with the right mount. Starlink needs a clear view of the northern sky in our latitude. Tight tree canopy is the most common reason a roof-mount fails. We use pole mounts that get the dish above the canopy line, or in extreme cases run a clear-sight cable to a different part of the property. A short site visit (in person or via photos) tells us within a few minutes whether your property will work.

09Do you do new construction prewires?

Yes. If you're framing or about to drywall, talking to us before the studs close up saves a fortune in retrofit later. Five hours of Cat6 runs through open framing replaces twenty hours of fishing cable through finished walls. We'll coordinate with your GC and electrical sub.

10Can I send photos of my property to help with the quote?

Yes, please. Just reply to our quote confirmation email with photos attached. Exterior of the building from each side, the spot you're thinking about for a Starlink dish, your current router or network closet, and any areas where you want cameras or stronger WiFi. The more we see up front, the more accurate the quote.

11What if something breaks after the install?

Workmanship is covered for the lifetime of the install. Hardware carries the manufacturer warranty (typically two to five years depending on the product line). If something we installed stops working, we come fix it. If you want priority response on calls, the optional support plan gets you to the front of the queue and includes remote configuration changes without a truck roll.
